FAMILY LIFE

The Family Life Committee is dedicated to the needs of the families of this parish.  Their duties include developing programs for marriage preparation and enrichment.  They also coordinate programs for separated, divorced and widowed members.  Classes in parenting are offered through this committee.  The Family Life Committee is chaired by Andy & Kristin Weisel.  They can be reached at andrew.weisel@comcast.net. Engaged Couples

The Diocese of Nashville requires all engaged couples to complete a marriage preparation program.  Please contact the Church office 6 months prior to wedding.

Marriage Encounter

Get away and refresh your marriage by making a Marriage Encounter weekend.  It’s something you’ll never forget.  For more information on the weekend or a circle meeting, call Elaine and Brian Sears at 217-6807 or John and Paula Geist at 876-3520.

Separated and Divorced Christians

Please make note that we will not be meeting at Holy Family anymore due to low attendance and not getting new people.  We will be available if you need to talk.  Please contact Dana 500-6891, Patsy 376-5652 or Sharon 653-0878.  We will meet for dinner at Chili’s in Brentwood the 1st Thursday of every month and at Blackstone’s for dinner  the 3rd Sunday of every month at 5:00 pm.  Dancing is on the first and third Saturday of the month.

Seasoned Citizens

The seasoned citizens of St. Rose invite all seniors (60+) to join us.  We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday at the Seniors Center on St. Clair St. @ 1:00 pm.

Nursery

A nursery is available during the Sunday morning Masses.  The nursery is located in the St. Rose Pre-School.  The Angels Room is located in the Chapel.  The Angels Room is open during all Masses.

Private Counseling

Many people struggle with concerns like depression, anxiety, relationship problems, stress, etc.  In response, Catholic Social Services offers individual, coupule and family counseling.  If you or anyone you know might be interested, please call Jill Hodges at 352-3087.  All counseling is confidential.

Stephen Ministry

A Stephen Minister is someone who assist people facing frightening changes or devastating realities in life.  A Stephen Minister visits and assists the person week after week until the person is comfortable.  There are 9000 churches with a Stephen Ministry.  If you are wanting to be visited by a Stephen Minister, please contact Mary Sue 890-6831 or Phil 896-7555.

Stephen Ministry is caring that changes lives.  Have you been praying to find God’s will for your life and the courage to do it.  IS your answer to be a Stephen Minister?  Matthew 25:40 says, “Just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it too me.”  Phone Mary Sue Dillon at 890-6831 or Phil Dodd at 896-7555.

Helping Hands to Single Parent Families

We have a ministry that addresses the needs of single parent families.  Tasks normally performed by fathers, such as handyman repairs, yard work, etc. is the primary focus of this group.  For more information, please call the church office at 893-1843 or ksmith@saintrose.org.
