A Different Master

Dear Fellow Disciples, peace.

Jesus is not attached to the letter of the Law but rather in the spirit of the Law. What is really important for Him is what is behind our observance of the Law. What correspond to the will of the Father for each one of us. That’s why He dared to reinterpret it according to the hidden desire of God and His though behind each commandment.

His affirmation “but I say to you” have never been used by any prophet or master of the Law. Jesus’ freedom which makes Him different is the fruit of His profound relationship with the Father. Being One with the Father and the Holy Spirit He know what is between the lines in the Law, which is the true desire of God for humanity.

In Jesus’ teaching the Law becomes way of perfection and salvation to be embraced and observed in love and for love, not just a legalistic list of boxes to be checked.

May the Holy Spirit helps us to deep our relationship with Himself, Jesus and the Father so that our observance of the Law may be always an expression of our love for Him and for our neighbor.

Un maestro diferente

Queridos discípulos, paz.

Jesús no está apegado a la letra de la Ley sino al espíritu de la Ley. Lo realmente importante para Él es lo que está detrás de nuestra observancia de la Ley. Lo que corresponde a la voluntad del Padre para cada uno de nosotros. Por eso se atrevió a reinterpretarlo según el deseo oculto de Dios y Su pensamiento detrás de cada mandamiento.

Su afirmación “pero yo os digo” nunca ha sido utilizada por ningún profeta o maestro de la Ley. La libertad de Jesús que lo hace diferente es fruto de su profunda relación con el Padre. Siendo Uno con el Padre y el Espíritu Santo, Él sabe lo que hay entre líneas en la Ley, que es el verdadero deseo de Dios para la humanidad.

En la enseñanza de Jesús, la Ley se convierte en un camino de perfección y salvación para ser abrazado y observado en el amor y para el amor, no solo una lista legalista de casillas para marcar.

Que el Espíritu Santo nos ayude a profundizar nuestra relación con Él mismo, con Jesús y con el Padre, para que nuestra observancia
