The disciples understood the resurrection of Jesus gradually. Peter saw that the tomb was empty and acknowledged the fact. The disciple whom Jesus loved, on the other hand, saw and believed. He is really risen as He promised.
The faith of the beloved disciple contrasts with the faith of Peter. A paradigm for Christian discipleship. While one is sensible to the signs of the Father’s love working in the Son, the other limits himself to the superficiality of the facts.
The fact and the faith remain. Jesus Christ is risen! Alleluia! Alleluia!
May the light from the empty tomb touch our minds, hearts and souls, and make us even more eager to embrace discipleship for the good of the Church as a whole and of our parish.

Queridos compañeros discípulos, paz.
Los discípulos comprendieron la resurrección de Jesús gradualmente. Pedro vio que la tumba estaba vacía y reconoció el hecho. El discípulo a quien Jesús amaba, en cambio, vio y creyó. Él realmente resucitó como lo prometió.
La fe del discípulo amado contrasta con la fe de Pedro. Un paradigma para el discipulado cristiano. Mientras uno es sensible a los signos del amor del Padre obrando en el Hijo, el otro se limita a la superficialidad de los hechos.
El hecho y la fe permanecen. ¡Jesucristo ha resucitado! ¡Aleluya! ¡Aleluya!
Que la luz de la tumba vacía toque nuestras mentes, corazones y almas, y nos haga aún más ansiosos de abrazar el discipulado por el bien de la Iglesia en su conjunto y de nuestra parroquia.
