“Two shall be come one flesh.”

We heard those words this week in the readings. Jesus as well in the first reading set to us a teaching of marriage. One of the themes for us in the parish as we move forward in this catechetical year, is focused on the Holy Family and the Domestic church. The domestic church is a vocation for all the Christian families.

The gospels’ reading centers in Christ teaching unity. This unity is special in the sacrament of marriage in the way that both bride and groom receive this sacrament as they answer to their vocational call. The vocation of the Christian Families is centered in their mission of holiness. The church acknowledges the importance of the sacrament of Marriage, then calls it a domestic church. This church centers on the unity of the couple as the main ministers and catechist of their established family, their mission is to guide as well to pass on their faith to future generations. For it is what is established “Two shall be come one flesh.” Let us pray for all our families, that in their answer to their vocation, they may also be responsible ministers of their domestic church.

“Dos deberán convertirse en una sola carne”. Escuchamos esas palabras esta semana en las lecturas. Jesús también en la primera lectura nos dio una enseñanza sobre el matrimonio. Uno de los temas para nosotros en la parroquia a medida que avanzamos en este año catequético se centra en la Sagrada Familia y la iglesia doméstica. La iglesia doméstica es una vocación para todas las familias cristianas.

La lectura de los evangelios se centra en la enseñanza de la unidad de Cristo. Esta unidad es especial en el sacramento del matrimonio en la forma en que tanto las novias como los novios reciben este sacramento mientras responden a su llamado vocacional. La vocación de las Familias Cristianas se centra en su misión de santidad. La iglesia reconoce la importancia del sacramento del matrimonio y luego lo llama iglesia doméstica. Esta iglesia se centra en la unidad de la pareja como principales ministros y catequistas de su familia establecida, su misión es guiar y transmitir su fe a las generaciones futuras. Porque es lo que está establecido “Dos deberán convertirse en una sola carne”. Oremos por todas nuestras familias, para que en respuesta a su vocación, puedan también ser ministros responsables de su iglesia doméstica.
