Homebound Ministry

Do you know someone who is unable to attend Mass? The Homebound Ministry has caring men and women who provide pastoral care. These volunteers joyfully visit homebound parishioners and keep them connected to the parish.

During their visit, they will:

• Bring a bulletin

• Distribute Holy Communion

• Read the daily Gospel and other inspiring prayers

The ministry currently brings Holy Communion to over 80 homebound parishioners of Saint Rose of Lima. We are blessed to have 30 active Extraordinary Ministers.

This ministry is active in most assisted living facilities in Murfreesboro, including the Veterans Administration Nursing Home. Additionally, we visit 30+ parishioners who reside at home.

The relationships formed between ministers and homebound parishioners are priceless. This is a ministry built through faith, love, and the Most Blessed Sacrament.
