First Communion is celebrated on the First Saturday in May each year. There are two Masses each year one at 9:00am and one at 11:00am. Please see your teacher to find out which Mass your class has been assigned. Students are prepared by attending Saint Rose School or they are enrolled in the Parish School of Religion.
Those eligible to receive preparation for the Sacrament is any Catholic who have reached the age of reason (Seven or older), second graders, and are actively attending a preparation program. If you need to sign your child up please stop by the parish office and ask for the forms today or contact the Director of Religious Education at 615-893-1843 Ext. 405
Dress Code For First Holy Communion
Boys: solid-colored suit –black or navy please- jackets preferred. Ties and dress shoes required.
Girls: white dresses with modest neck line and dress length. Must have shoulders covered either by sleeves or a pullover. Veils optional, If you receive Communion in the hand we ask that no gloves be worn.
