Religious Education
The Office of Religious Education provides vital support to families as they teach the Catholic faith to children and assist with fully preparing students to receive Sacraments. Sunday classes offer opportunities to grow in knowledge and understanding of the faith through lessons, discussions, and activities designed to help students understand concepts of our Catholic faith.

Registration is currently open and closes August 22nd.
Religious Education Classes start Sunday, September 7th
9:45-10:45am for grades K-6
9:30-10:45am for grades 7-HS Delayed

Please note: Primary Delayed Sacraments, Confirmation, and High School Delayed Sacraments are a two year program.
All 2025-26 students will be required to attend in-person classes on Sunday (unless the student is homeschooled or has a medical exemption).
If you have recently moved to Murfreesboro and are a registered member of St. Rose of Lima Church, you may enroll your student on a special track for getting caught up this year. Please fill out the registration form, then make the appropriate payment and someone will contact you within a few weeks to get you started.
Prices for Religious Education have been raised due to the current cost of students’ materials.
Registration rates will be as follows: K-6 are $75. Confirmation is $160.

You may register online, over the phone with the Church office personnel or in person at the Church office.
Looking for a way to subsidize your child’s Tuition?
We invite you to consider and pray about becoming a catechist or catechist aide. No teaching degree needed. In addition to a Teacher’s Manual, we have all the teaching supplies. The program director and the program coordinator provide the training, guidance and support.
As a thank you for sharing your time and talent as a volunteer, your child’s tuition will be waived.
You would:
- Give back to the Parish faith community and help it grow in knowledge and faith.
- Learn more about the Catholic church and your own faith while helping others learn.
- Receive a catechist manual that walks you through how to prepare for and present each chapter page by page
You bring:
- Your love of the Catholic faith and stories of your own faith journey.
- Your desire to share your love of God and faith with children.
