“If today you listen his voice harden not Your heart!”

This week we have this response in the Psalm. This small phrase has a strong message for all who listen. As we continue to walk in the path of our faith, we have to go out to a world that is full of noise, with many sounds distracting us everywhere we go. That means that when we try to pay attention to a particular sound it becomes harder for many of us, and many time impossible to heard or even making out the sound. We are surrounded by many ways of distraction and often we give up listening, and that many time leads us to just go in automatic form.

In our faith that is the same, we are hit with man thing, many things that will not allow us to heard his voice. The voice of the father who want you to listen to him. HE who has something to tell you, but we become so busy by the things of the outside, things of the world. When he tries to tell us something, we have given up listening to him, and focus on the thing that I want to hear and the things that make me feel comfortable. Many times His call is what make us feel uncomfortable, and the easy thing is to stopped listening to him.

Brothers and Sisters, today the lord wants to tell you something, listen to him. Today there is an invitation to stopped, and truthfully do our best to listen to him. But also in listening to him, we should not harden our hearts, because if what he is telling us we don’t like. There is that call to holiness, to be able to listen to him and do his will. And always remember “If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.”

“¡Señor, que no seamos sordos a tu voz.!”

Esta semana tenemos esta respuesta en el Salmo. Esta pequeña frase tiene un fuerte mensaje para todos los que la escuchan. Mientras continuamos caminando en el camino de nuestra fe, tenemos que salir a un mundo lleno de ruido, con muchos sonidos golpeándonos dondequiera que vayamos. Eso significa que cuando intentamos prestar atención a un sonido en particular, a muchos de nosotros se nos hace más difícil y muchas veces imposible escuchar o incluso distinguir el sonido. Estamos rodeados de muchas formas de distracciones y muchas veces dejamos de escuchar, y eso muchas veces nos lleva a ir simplemente en forma automática.

En nuestra fe eso es lo mismo, somos golpeados por cosas mundanas, muchas cosas que no nos permiten escuchar su voz. La voz del padre que quiere que lo escuches. ÉL que tiene algo que decirte, pero nos ocupamos tanto de las cosas de afuera, de las cosas del mundo. Cuando intenta decirnos algo, muchas veces dejamos de escucharlo y nos centramos en lo que quiero escuchar y en las cosas que me hacen sentir cómoda. Muchas veces su llamado es lo que nos incomoda, y lo fácil es dejar de escucharlo.

Hermanos y hermanas, hoy el señor quiere decirles algo, escúchenlo. Hoy hay una invitación a detenernos y, sinceramente, hacer lo mejor que podamos para escucharlo. Pero también al escucharlo no debemos endurecer el corazón, porque si lo que él nos dice no nos gusta, hay algo que él ve que a nosotros no nos gusta. Existe esa llamada a la santidad, a poder escucharlo y hacer su voluntad. Y recuerden siempre “Señor, que no seamos sordos a tu voz.”.
