Dear Fellow Disciples, peace.

One of the most important characteristics of the Holy Family of Nazareth was God's faithfulness present in their midst. It was through God's faithfulness that Jesus, Mary and Joseph faced and conquered all adversities and did not give up. The Holy Family is an inspirational model for all the families of Jesus' disciples, our families.

Faithful to God we are able to face all the temptations of division which are causing so much damage to our families. We'll conquer the father of division (diabolus - the divider - the devil) by the power of God and His Christ.

Through faithfulness to God and to each other, couples will strive always to search for love, respect and fidelity as a way to live their commitment, their vows, promised on the day of their Holy Matrimony. They will not give into the temptation and mentalities against God's will for human love.

Through their learning of faithfulness, children will grow in their conscience of God's love towards them as well as their parent's love. Knowing to be loved, they will participate in building up the Kingdom of God in their homes, where love, respect, care and collaboration will be the signs of their faithfulness to God and to each other.

Jesus Mary and Joseph, our families are yours.

As we sing the Te Deum laudamus this evening thanking God for all graces, victories and challenges of 2023, let us also ask Him for the grace and the strength we need in our daily discipleship in 2024.

May the Holy Spirit convert our families into new Holy Families and fill us with grace and power to be even better disciples in 2024.

Dios es Fiel

Queridos discípulos, paz.

Una de las características más importantes de la Sagrada Familia de Nazaret fue la fidelidad de Dios presente en medio de ellos. Fue a través de la fidelidad de Dios que Jesús, María y José enfrentaron y vencieron todas las adversidades y no se dieron por vencidos. La Sagrada Familia es un modelo inspirador para todas las familias de los discípulos de Jesús, nuestras familias.

Fieles a Dios podemos afrontar todas las tentaciones de división que tanto daño están causando a nuestras familias. Conquistaremos al padre de la división (diabolus - el divisor - el diablo) por el poder de Dios y Su Cristo.

A través de la fidelidad a Dios y al otro, los esposos se esforzarán siempre en buscar el amor, el respeto y la fidelidad como forma de vivir su compromiso, sus votos, prometidos el día del Santo Matrimonio. No cederán a la tentación y a las mentalidades contrarias a la voluntad de Dios por el amor humano.

A través de su aprendizaje de la fidelidad, los niños crecerán en su conciencia del amor de Dios hacia ellos, así como del amor de sus padres. Sabiéndose amados, participarán en la construcción del Reino de Dios en sus hogares, donde el amor, el respeto, el cuidado y la colaboración serán signos de su fidelidad a Dios y a los demás.

Jesús María y José, nuestras familias son suyas.

Mientras cantamos el Te Deum Laudamus (A tí, oh Dios, te alabamos) esta noche agradeciendo a Dios por todas las gracias, victorias y desafíos del 2023, pidámosle también la gracia y la fuerza que necesitamos en nuestro discipulado diario en el 2024.

Que el Espíritu Santo convierta a nuestras familias en nuevas Sagradas Familias y nos llene de gracia y poder para ser aún mejores discípulos en el 2024.
