Dear Fellow Disciples, peace.

Thomas represents all disciples who reach faith by overcoming unbelief. He imposes conditions on his faith in the resurrection, refusing to accept the testimony of his brethren. How often do we do the same? His heart was taken by some kind of materialism and rationalism. He needs to see and touch Jesus before taking a step in faith.

The risen Jesus fulfilled his desire but not without questioning his narrow mind. Challenging Thomas to touch His wound, for He is the Crucified-Risen Lord, Jesus calls him to move from unbelief to believer. Today he is doing the same with you and me.

His mercy, revealed in Scripture and, in these last days through Saint Faustina Kowalska writings, is another way by which He is reaching out to us and saying, "Touch my wounds! Move on from your unbelief to believe in Me! Accept my love and be converted".

May the Holy Spirit open our eyes and hearts to believe and commit ourselves to the Risen Lord. To become witnesses and heralds of His Mercy!

Bienaventurados los que no vieron pero creyeron.

Queridos discípulos, paz.

Tomás representa a todos los discípulos que alcanzan la fe superando la incredulidad. Impone condiciones a su fe en la resurrección, negándose a aceptar el testimonio de sus hermanos. ¿Con qué frecuencia hacemos lo mismo? Su corazón fue tomado por algún tipo de materialismo y racionalismo. Necesita ver y tocar a Jesús antes de dar un paso de fe.

Jesús resucitado cumplió su deseo no sin cuestionar limitado criterio. Desafiando a Tomás a tocar Su herida, porque Él es el Señor Crucificado-Resucitado, Jesús lo llama a pasar de la incredulidad al creyente. Hoy él está haciendo lo mismo contigo y conmigo.

Su misericordia, revelada en las Escrituras y, en estos últimos días a través de los escritos de Santa Faustina Kowalska, es otra forma en la que Él se acerca a nosotros y nos dice: "¡Toca mis heridas! ¡Pasa de tu incredulidad para creer en Mí! Acepta mi amor y quedarás convertido".

Que el Espíritu Santo abra nuestros ojos y corazones para creer y comprometernos con el Señor Resucitado. ¡Para convertirnos en testigos y heraldos de Su Misericordia!
