Stewardship of Treasure

It has been quite some time since I have addressed stewardship of treasure with the parish. I have made appeals for the diocese and for special collections, but I have not addressed our parish stewardship needs much during the pandemic.

It seemed that we needed to focus on other matters. That being said, you, the parishioners, have been faithful in supporting the parish financially during these difficult times. Thank you.

Stewardship is about our need to give. God made us so that we find fulfillment in giving of ourselves, and that includes financially. Regular and consistent giving is the most spiritually beneficial for us. When I look at the numbers regarding stewardship of treasure in our parish, the most important one to me is the number of regularly contributing households. I am happy to say that recently I am seeing this number increase to levels that I have not seen before. Congratulations and thank you!

When we have a corps of ushers in place, we will begin to pass the offering baskets again. I want this to serve as a reminder of the importance of regular offertory contribution. (As a matter of fact, on-line giving is probably the most regular way to give, but it is invisible.) Finally, I encourage you to make your offerings to the operating budget of the parish. That way all the needs of the parish are taken care of! Thank you again.

Ha pasado bastante tiempo desde que hablé sobre la corresponsabilidad del tesoro en la parroquia. He hecho llamamientos para la diócesis y para colectas especiales, pero no he abordado mucho las necesidades de la corresponsabilidad de nuestra parroquia durante la pandemia. Parecía que necesitábamos centrarnos en otros asuntos. Dicho esto, ustedes, los feligreses, han sido fieles en apoyar financieramente a la parroquia durante estos tiempos difíciles. Gracias.

La corresponsabilidad se trata de nuestra necesidad de dar. Dios nos hizo para que encontremos satisfacción al darnos a nosotros mismos, y eso incluye financieramente. Dar regularmente y consistentemente es lo más espiritualmente beneficioso para nosotros. Cuando observo los números relacionados con la administración del tesoro en nuestra parroquia, el más importante para mí es el número de hogares que contribuyen regularmente. Estoy feliz de decir que recientemente estoy viendo este número aumentar a niveles que no había visto antes. ¡Felicitaciones y gracias!

Cuando tengamos un cuerpo de ujieres en su lugar, comenzaremos a pasar las canastas de ofrendas nuevamente. Quiero que esto sirva como un recordatorio de la importancia de la contribución regular del ofertorio. (De hecho, la donación en línea es probablemente la forma más habitual de donar, pero es invisible). Finalmente, los animo a hacer sus ofrendas al presupuesto operativo de la parroquia. ¡De esa manera se atienden todas las necesidades de la parroquia! Gracias nuevamente.
