Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe-the final Sunday of the liturgical year. The Gospel presents us not with a throne of gold, but with a cross of wood. Here is the paradox of our faith: Christ reigns by love, not by force; by mercy, not by might.
